"I love what I do and I definitely love how the things I create make others happy"

MEET

THE GREEN TEA ENTHUSIAST

From eccentric hues to modern day styles, it's amazing how this young gal pieced all her yarns (and her patience) all together for the name of passion. What made us hold our breath even more is that she is able to do so through an art that only a few can master (did we mention she's even extra good at it too?)

Extremely versatile and impeccably stylish, the works of The Green Tea Enthusiast surely redefined knitwear in the most stunning way - perfect for the tropical hell we call the Philippines.

Yup, it's possible and we still can't get over it too.

what inspired you?

"Honestly, everything I see around stands an inspiration. Most things just have these qualities that make them seem interesting the moment you lay your eyes on them. But for the things I make, I tend to look at modern-day lookbooks. I go for unique styles that I personally admire and create something to my liking. (I don’t really design things I wouldn’t want to see on anyone, clearly.)"

how did this inspiration lead you to make your masterpiece?

"I’m all for individuality and self-expression, and I feel that through The GTE Shop, I’m able to develop that vision.

I’ve tried out different solely owned businesses and went through 2 name changes throughout my high school years. But it was only during my senior year (2013-2014) when I started running a more stable shop. I remember it being a lot smaller, a lot low-key, selling only one item in limited colors.

But now, the shop offers different kinds of garments and accessories (ready-made, made-to-order and custom ones), in a lot more colors."

I wasn’t really expecting it to receive this much recognition honestly, but I’m entirely grateful for all the opportunities this dream has brought. From just a hobby, crochet turned out to be a branch that helps people express themselves through fashion and style

I love what I do and I definitely love how the things I create make others happy. I make it a point to have fun while working because work feels a lot less like work when you’re having fun.

Up to this day, I continue creating for my vision and I highly suggest everyone to do the same."

Part-time crochet master-mind, full-time green tea lover, IDA SIASOCO is definitely the gal to watch out for. Not only is she great in transforming a "granny skill" into an extra extra cooler hobby - her easy-going attitude, eccentric fashion sense, and amazing writing skills totally had us jumping up and down with excitement. From her knack of passionately creating content to making herself and others happy, we're pretty sure IDA has more breathtaking stuff up her sleeve and we're already sitting at the edge of our seats for it!
